The sun was already beginning to set in Unova, on the brisk autumn day. Hana the Shiny Umbreon was enjoying watching the sun set. It was dusk; her favorite time of day, because it was the moment when she was born and evolved. Meditating and clearing her mind, Hana was about to doze off for a moment when....
"Hana! Hana! Come on! We gotta get ready!! Nyah I want some candy!"
And then WHAM!
Kitty, the overly energetic Skitty who was addicted to candy and sweets, tackled into Hana, unable to stop herself in time. Hana flew into a tree nearby. Hana growled and walked towards Kitty, as huge and threatening as possible. Her black fur bristled, the blue glowing rings pulsated violently with her emotions. "What could you possibly want that would involve tackling me for it?" Hana demanded.
Kitty, oblivious to Hana's anger, jumped around. "Only the greatest feast of the year, known as Thanksgiving. The day we all get together and thank the great Maker for all the candy that was provided to us this year."
"Somehow I doubt that's what Thanksgiving means." Hana said, walking past Kitty.
"But Hana we have to go anyway! Drake and Absol are waiting for us..."
"Why didn't you say that sooner?!" Hana cried out, and hid behind a potted plant and transformed into her human form. Her black hair turned into a jacket, except on her head where it turned purple and grew out longer. Her blue rings turned into cuffs and a zipper in the jacket. She wore blue jeans, and black combat boots. This was all in effort to impress Absol at dinner. He had earlier teased her that she couldn't pull off a transformation and still have combat boots.
Kitty went behind the bush and essentially went POP! and became her human form. Her light pink hair was messy in two pigtails, and she wore a green sweater, with a red skirt, and stockings with hearts on them. She wore simple sneakers, nothing too fancy or outlandish. Candy necklaces and bracelets were her trademark symbols as a human. She skipped around, and caught up with Hana.
The two girls had adopted each other as sisters, and loved each other as such. But sometimes, as other people will note, Hana would pretend not to be related to Kitty. Why? The answer was simple, and seen at best at the dinner table.
Drake, Hana and Kitty sat at a table, which was very long. Absol sat between Kitty and Hana. At the other seats, other people from the Pokemon Center were filling in, ready for the food to be presented. Hana whispered to Kitty: "I'll let you have some candy-"
"YAY!!!!"
"...only if you eat some REAL food."
"Like vegetables?"
"Yes."
"And meat?"
"Namely turkey, and yes."
"...You disgust me Hana...." Kitty whispered shaking her head at the idea of eating plain, bland food.
Hana let the comment go, for the turkey was rolled in on a fancy silver platter by Nurse Joy and an Audino. Then came the cornbread, potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, ziti with extra cheese, and some steamed green beans and sauteed mushrooms. Nurse Joy then cut some turkey up and passed around a plate of pop-overs.
Hana got some dishes, and filled up Kitty's plate with a balance of everything, focusing mostly on the cornbread, ziti and mushrooms. She knew Kitty would eat those with the least protest.
She passed some turkey to Absol, who gave her a look that for him, meant approval. He tore at the turkey leg and got his white fur messy with grease and turkey bits.
Meantime, Kitty had eaten all the worst of the food, namely the turkey and the potatoes. She ate them slowly, like a normal human. But then came the problem. She would never admit it, but she liked the cornbread and ziti and mushrooms a lot. The food went flying messily around the table, as she ate like a madman. She cleaned her plate, although Hana and the man next to her got a lot of the splatters on them.
"Kid, behave yourself!" Hana darkly whispered, but Kitty shrugged.
"A deal is a deal. Where's the candy?" Kitty hissed.
"It's coming once everyone else finishes." Hana muttered, focusing back on her plate.

After the main course had been cleaned away, the dessert came out. The traditional pumpkin pie was rolled out. It was huge, enough for everyone to be filled by one slice. It had a small smell of nuts in it.
Other desserts included rainbow cookies, fall colored M&Ms, Vanilla Ice Cream and Lugia Cake. Lugia Cake was a four layer cake, representing the four legendary birds. The portion for Lugia was white in color, and full of white cream. Moltres had a red layer, with more cream inside. Zapdos had yellow, with brown chocolate cream, and Articuno had the largest and bluest layer of all full of half chocolate half vanilla cream.
No one had a chance at the M&Ms. Kitty grabbed the bowl and started to eat it all. No one said a word in protest. They were far to entranced by the pumpkin pie.
Hana had a slice of pumpkin pie and a few smaller slices of Lugia cake. Each bite of cake was heavenly, for they were baked and filled to perfection by the chefs (and Gym Leaders) of Striation City.
Halfway done with the bowl, Kitty swapped to rainbow cookies, eating a few of those. They were smaller, and rather spongy. Hana took advantage of this to enjoy the chocolate of the M&Ms.

Next morning, Kitty woke up feeling a little on the sick side. She had eaten far too much. But it was all worth it. It was in thanks to the great Maker who provided her with candy every year.
"Now, I have to start preparing my letter to Santy Claws...."
