Hana and Kitty: Christmas Special 2011

It was the night before Christmas, and all through house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... Or, so the story should have started. It was the night before Christmas. That much was true. But something was very overdue...

Kitty, the light pink human/Skitty shapeshifter, sat down at the glass table in the Nimbasa Pokemon Center, with a fancy paper and Santa pen in hand. "Now, to begin."

She spoke aloud as she wrote. "Dear Santy Claws, Can I please have a year supply of candy? You can choose the type. This way, it should last me until next Christmas. When you can bring more. Thank you, love Kitty."

Hana, the human/Shiny Umbreon shapeshifter, looked over Kitty's shoulder and shook her head at the letter. "Kid, you always get candy. Why not ask for something else? (So I don't look like a candy-addict to the guy at the drugstore)."

"Hana! What else would I possibly want besides candy that has monetary value, hmm?"

"Toys?"

"That's disgusting." Kitty said, placing her letter in an envelope. She then changed the subject. "What did you ask for?"

"I don't do this.. Human custom. You don't really believe in a fat man who somehow gets all these toys and fits down a chimney do you?" Hana sniffed.

"Hana! How could you not have faith in a guy who gives out freebie stuff?"

Hana pointed to a chubby human dressed as Santa, ringing a bell near a red pot, looking for donations. "What do you say to that?"

Even Kitty had to pause.

"So he takes our money to buy stuff? No elves? No workshop or flying Stantler?"

"Sure seems it."

Meantime...

Drake and Absol were looking at gifts for Hana and Kitty. They both had their eyes on a ring for Hana. It was one of those trendy "chocolate" diamond rings. "I will give it to her." Drake said. "Since I love her."

Absol shook his head. He put a clawed paw on the box.

"You? But you got her the fancy pillow set we picked out!" Drake said, surprised. Absol only narrowed his eyes, intent on keeping the ring until tomorrow.

"You asked for it." Drake said, holding out Absol's pokeball...

Meantime...

"Those two doubt in Santa, huh? Perfect." Heather whispered to her Houndoom. She let out eight more, and Mismagius cast some magic. They now looked like Stantler and could fly. Mismagius then cast a spell to make a sleigh, and an elven disguise for herself. "I'll take them into a lonely tundra up north, and kill those two once and for all."

Heather waited for them outside. They came out soon enough to mail the letter Kitty wrote anyway. Kitty blinked at the sleigh. "Hana look!"

Hana thought something seemed off, but it was too hard to mis-label. A sleigh, Stantler, and an elf. "Why, bless me, Santa was right. You were staying here." Heather said, pitching her voice higher. "The disbeliever and the almost disbeliever."

"Who are you?" Kitty asked, in awe.

"I... I'm... I'm Happy the Elf!" Inwardly, Heather cringed. Happy. Far from what she was.

"What are you up to here, Happy?" Kitty asked.

Heather laughed in her throat. "Why, I'm here to get you into the true holiday spirit. To take you to the North Pole."

"North Pole? Where Santa lives, supposedly?" Hana asked, not fully buying the story. Kitty, on the other hand was hooked.

"Oh, but he does." Heather smiled. "Get into his sleigh."

Kitty, without another thought, jumped on. Hana sighed and got on.

The sleigh had a compass, and she followed it north, leading her Houndoom. "Oh, it's, um, always a magical ride to and from home." Heather said. Kitty looked out the sides, looking at the sights as the land grew more and more snowy and icy and barren.

"Almost there!" Heather called.

"Great." Hana muttered. "Kid, I think this is a trick. Where's the workshop?"

"We aren't there yet. Have some faith." Heather quickly answered.

Then, suddenly, the scenery changed again. Pine trees, candy canes, snowmen, Stantler and Jynx all dotted the scenery. Heather began to panic.  This was wrong! It was real!

Some Ponyta and Rapidash were grazing, and the stables came into view. Delibird flew with their loads. Heather began to sweat. "Uh.. Welcome to the North Pole?"

Kitty was all smiles, Hana in awe. "Awesome. Take us to the workshop!" they both said.

"Uh... Sure. Right. Like I promised!"

They soon found it, a castle in the snow. "Here we are." Heather said. She decided to kill them anyway, whether the fat man saw this or not. Darkrai wanted them dead, and she would not let her master down.

"Wow it's so pretty!" Kitty said.

"That it is. So, what do you do here Happy? Make toys? Tend to the Pokemon?" Hana asked, in a dazed state from being in awe.

"I kill innocent Shape-shifters in the snow."

Kitty and Hana turned, and stared. Heather's guise vanished. "Can't believe you of all... People? Pokemon? Whatevers, Hana, would just get in a sleigh without asking the right questions."

"You will regret this. We can beat you and those Houndooms." Hana said. She put a hand on her pouch that had a Victini pattern that Kitty bought for her. Inside was her Quilava.

"Houndooms? Don't be such a fool. They are my get away. Now, stay still, so Rampardos can crush you, then I will get you with my Celtic platinum blade. Sharp. Quick. Bloody, if I aim  your jugular vein, which is the plan. For Kitty, perhaps she'd make a good meal for the Pokemon. I don't intend to waste my chance again. Rampardos, go get them!" Heather let out her giant grey and blue dinosaur, who's red eyes seemed more full of blood lust than usual.

Hana let out her Quilava anyway. She refused to go down without a fight. "Kitty, run! Go get help!"

"Oh no you won't! Houndoom! Get her!" Heather hissed. The hounds ran after Kitty, who had a head start. Soon, Kitty and the dogs were out of sight. Rampardos lowered its massive head, preparing a skull bash attack. Quilava awaited Hana's orders, but flared itself up to be ready.

"Quilava, create a shield of fire around yourself!" Hana called. Her Pokemon began to create an inferno around itself, immune to the licking flames that would have burned it. Rampardos's attack was ready, and it charged into the shield. Quilava went flying, but the fire did its work, for Rampardos had a bad burn mark on its head. Rampardos roared in fury, stomping its feet. Quilava was glowing with the power of its ability, Blaze. The snow around it was turning into a small puddle. Then Quilava began to panic. Its fire was becoming a problem, as Quilava hated water. "Quilava return!" Hana said, her Pokemon going back into its ball. "Noctowl, let's go!" Hana now let out her giant owl, who gracefully flew over Rampardos, who tried to catch it like a bug between it's two hands, but failed to reach. Noctowl, being independent, did not need Hana to command it. It unleashed a powerful psychic attack, adding to Rampardos's injury.

"Rampardos, return!" Heather called. Rampardos went back into its ball. "Flying moves huh? Clever, but I think I can manage you well without a Pokemon." Heather drew out her Celtic platinum blade, and slowly walked to Hana. "I've enjoyed our dance, Hana, but quite frankly, I'm more annoyed at the measures I've had to go through to get to this point. Violet constantly interferes and so do you."

"I hate to break it to you, but you made me and Kitty this way."

"On my master's orders. He said the Shape-shifter trio will tip the balance. I so had hoped you would be joyful and join us, but now that you know too much, I'll use your energy and Kitty's to fuel my master."

"What of the third? You said trio." Hana was now stalling for time.

"The third is yet to appear. I have no power to make the third. No matter. Only we know this information, and in moments, only I will." Heather held the blade up higher, so it glimmered in the moonlight. "Farewell, O Shape-shifter."

Hana closed her olive eyes, and quickly transformed into her Shiny Umbreon form. The blade missed, as Hana was now shorter. "Umbre!" and Hana ran off, her paws better suited for snow.

Heather kicked the snow. "No matter." she said. "This only makes the chess game more interesting."

Meantime...

Kitty had continued to run but was getting tired. Suddenly, a real Stantler appeared before her. She stopped. Before her eyes was a herd of them. She panted. "I can't take much more of this!"

"Umbre!"

"And now, amid the growling Houndoom, I'm going crazy, hearing an Umbreon."

"Umbre! Kid!"

"It sure sounds like Hana too...." Kitty panted as the Houndooms began to close in on her. The Stantler suddenly stepped in front of her, their horns glowing, a haze oozing out of them. The Houndooms ran off, knowing that Stantler were dangerous.

Hana ran up to Kitty. "Are you okay?"

"Hana! You are real! I thought you were a figment of my imagination. Kitty said hugging the shiny Umbreon.

Umbre Youre crushing me kid…” she said. Suddenly, she jumped out of Kittys embrace and bristled. Someones coming.

The Stantler parted, knowing who it was. Well, I must say that this is a surprise. Darkrai has gotten as far as the North Pole. The voice said. It was a deep, yet friendly voice. Ho ho! But you Stantler stopped her futile attempt. Good. Remind me to remind Bernie to give you extra poffins.

Yes, Santa! the Stantler suddenly said. Hana and Kitty jumped, causing everyone to turn towards them. Oh, Santa, sir, these are Hana and…”

Kitty. I know them, for they are on the top of my nice list. The largest man Hana and Kitty ever saw in a red suit walked forward. Ho ho! Its an honor to meet you two at last.

It really is Santa! Kitty said, now crushing Hana out of joy. Hana slipped out of her grasp and sniffed at Kitty. Santa! Where were you? We were nearly killed! Kitty demanded.

I was watching from afar. It was clear you two had the situation under hand. Ho ho! Do not doubt me! Now, we must get you back in time and in time for me to get ready for Christmas Eve.

Arent you going to let us see your workshop? Hana asked. She was surprised at the lack of an offer.

What point would it serve? Do you believe in the spirit of Christmas?

Yes! both Hana and Kitty answered.

Then, on Christmas Day, when you wake up, you will find your presents made from your heart, and not just my workshop. And suddenly, everything went white.

Meantime

Drake, who was all beat up from Absol, and Absol, whos fur was all ruined from wrestling with Drake over the ring, managed to get hold of the ring for Hana. Just then, Kaori knocked on the door, and let herself in.

Oh Drake you shouldnt have! she saw the ring in his hands. She took it. I think its fantastic. She kissed him lightly and skipped away.

Absol laughed at the dumbstruck look on Drakes face.

So that was why you tried to take the ring away Okay, you win Absol. You win.

* * *

Hana and Kitty woke up on the sofas of the Pokémon Center lounge."Did we just take a nap here?" Hana asked, sitting up quickly, fixing her bed head.

Kitty yawned and gasped. "Hana! I never gave him my letter!" she whispered. "And I had it with me the whole time."

"If he knew our names without asking, then I'm sure he knows how much you love candy. Now, speaking of which, you got any chocolate on hand? I'm craving some."

"I am always well prepared for any situation." Kitty pulled out from under the sofa cushion a pile of chocolate bars, which she gave to Hana. Hana put some away into her pack, and ate two, savoring the flavors.

"Good morning you two. Drake was looking for you." Nurse Joy said.

"Is it really Christmas morning?! We were here all night!" Kitty said, and they both ran towards their room. They were surprised to see it all destroyed, with Drake and Absol sharing a pile of pillow feathers.

"What happened?" Hana demanded, shaking Drake awake.

"We got into a.... disagreement over your gift." Drake muttered. Hana and Kitty just looked at each other and laughed. The only things not destroyed was a pile of presents by the window. One was a large box for Kitty. Upon opening the Plusle and Minun wrapping paper, was a huge pile of candy. Kitty, transformed into her Skitty form, and dived right into it.

"Just like I asked!  A year's supply of candy!" she smiled.

A small box was for Hana. She opened it, and inside was a Moon Stone. It was black, but in the sunlight, it twinkled at her. She smiled and tucked it away. What a thoughtful gift, and a rather interesting Christmas.

Merry Christmas to All and have a Happy New Year!
