Episode 6: Kitty's Adventure

Kitty didn't mind being a human. In fact, she almost like it more then being her normal Skitty self. Suddenly, all the memories were fuzzy, and faded. Since she was young, with baby smooth skin, twinkling dark eyes, and a happy smile, she could be her normal, hyper self.

The young girl enjoyed candy even more so as a human. Except, now she faced a problem, and she brought it to Hana, her now adopted older sister.

"Hana, how do you eat like a human?" she asked nervously.

Hana thought for a moment. She could barely remember her Pokemon life, and tried to break a memory barrier to recall how Drake ate. Then she remembered the forks, spoons and knives.

"You can eat with forks, knives and spoons." Hana muttered. "Why?"

"I'm starved but don't wanna blow our cover." Kitty whispered. She hugged Hana, who stood for a moment, dumbstruck, and confused. What was this emotion? Hana felt something tugging at her human heart. An emotion, it was called. It was not one she recognized.

Kitty pulled away. She had observed people around the Pokemon Center hugging. Usually, two people held each other for a moment, then pulled away. Hana did not hug Kitty back. She clearly did not care for Kitty. Kitty, who got the answer she wanted, ran off to get something to eat. Drake had given her and Hana some money upon finding out how poor they were. (As in they had no money to their name).

Hana watched her run off. She sighed. Kitty was her adopted sister now. She had to take on a new role for Kitty. More motherly. Gods. As if the kid wasn't annoying enough. But then she thought of Kitty's distraught face when Hana didn't reciprocate in the way she wanted her too. It bothered her. She had to learn to keep a better temper, and try to fit in with humans.

Kitty meantime walked swiftly into the lobby of the Pokemon Center. It was busier than yesterday. As Kitty explored, she forgot to watch where she was going. She didn't have that special 6th Pokemon sense anymore, so she didn't see the young girl ahead of her coming.

They bumped into each other. The girl Kitty bumped into was around her age of 9 years old. The girl was pretty with her silvery hair, and blue eyes. "Oh, I'm so sorry..." the girl whispered.

"I'm sorry too. I'm Kitty. Here, let me help you up." Kitty held out her hand and pulled the quiet girl up.

"I'm Rino. Do you wanna play with me?" Rino asked.

"Sure! What do you wanna play?" Kitty asked. Finally, someone who did care about her! Someone who wanted to be just like her!

"I know, let's pretend we're Primerose and Cynthia battling!" Rino said smiling. "Since you got pink hair, you can be Primerose."

"Wait, who are Primerose and Cynthia?" Kitty asked.

"You don't know? They're Pokemon Champions! They are, like, the most powerful trainers ever!" Rino gushed on. Her eyes sparkled. Suddenly, she wasn't quiet anymore. She was excited. "Primerose uses a powerful Delcatty!"

"A Delcatty? You mean, the evolved form of a Skitty?"

"Yep. Apparently, her's was pregnant at the same time Primerose was, 9 years ago. The baby somehow vanished when they visited Unova. The baby was never found. They lost her at the Dreamyard." Rino said proudly.

Kitty blinked. Suddenly, her fuzzy memory began to buzz. She remembered... a lot of pink.... and someone licking her all over, making her clean. Then she remembered.... hitting the ground, and running away.... for many years.

Kitty came back into reality. "What about Cynthia?"

"Cynthia uses a super omega powerful Garchomp! GAR-CHOMP! CHOMP!" Rino mimicked the cry of a Garchomp. "Come on outside, let's play battle."

"Okay!" Kitty said.

Snow was lightly falling on the ground. The two girls gasped. "Yay it's snowing!" Rino cried. "Let's make a snow Pokemon instead!"

"Sure! How about a Munna?" Kitty asked.

"Totally! They are so cute!"

The two girls made a giant snow version of the Taper-like Pokemon. Hana and Drake walked out of the Pokemon Center with Nurse Joy and Audino.

"Wow, that is most impressive!" Nurse Joy cried in delight.

"Audin-o!"

"Good job, kid." Hana said.

"Oh Rino, this is my big sister Hana and this is Drake. They're going out you know~!" Kitty said slyly.

Hana and Drake death glared Kitty, with their fists up, as if they were going to punch her. "KID!! We are not!" Hana hissed. 

"They totally are." Rino said smiling and laughing with Kitty. "Let's get go and meet my mom and eat dinner!" Rino said.

"Oh, no thank you Rino. I'll play with you tomorrow." Kitty said as the wind whipped her face. She missed her fur coat.

Rino went inside and so did Hana, Kitty, Drake, Nurse Joy and Audino. The two nurses went to their stations. "Kid, we need to get ourselves Pokemon." Hana said over a vegetable dinner. Kitty pushed her dinner away.

"If they'll eat my vegetables then sure..." Kitty muttered. She walked over to Drake's backpack and took out a huge candy bar.

"Where did that come from?" Drake gasped.

"I have a huge secret stash scattered all over the place." Kitty said munching at the bar.

"Kid, how many times do I have to tell you, that candy is not a sufficient dinner. You need healthy food to grow healthy and strong." Hana said, pushing the vegetable plate closer.

Kitty stuck out her tongue.

"You two remind me of my Pokemon." Drake said. Hana and Kitty froze. Could he know? "Speaking of them, they were in their Pokeballs for the past couple of days now. I wonder how they are." he opened their balls. Hana and Kitty froze and clung to each other. Drake didn't notice their panic. Suddenly, a Shiny Umbreon and Skitty appeared. They were like zombies and lifeless.

"Nyah..." Skitty said, with almost no tone to her voice. She went over to her pokeblock meal, of a meat blend, and ate it without enthusiasm.

"Umbre..." Umbreon was a bit more lifelike, and ate her meat blend food without protest.

"They look sick..." Hana muttered.

"More tired, I guess. Maybe they were out all day." Drake said, hopefully, but kind of nervous. He never saw his Pokemon like that before. 

Hana and Kitty kept biting their lips and shifting in their seats. Kitty whimpered quietly and whispered into Hana's ear. "You have a lovely streak of black in you hair."

Hana looked at Kitty blinking in disbelief. Then she whispered to Kitty. "Stop smiling, your fangs are growing again."

Kitty covered her mouth. "I wanna go to bed!" she sobbed.

"Alright, I'm gonna finish eating with my Pokemon." Drake said. He smiled at Hana and suddenly kissed her, after Kitty turned and ran back to the room. He wasn't 100% sure of what he felt for Hana, but he knew he loved her enough to want to be her boyfriend. For some reason, she was too familiar...

Hana blushed bright red, contrasting her pale skin. She kissed him back, then pulled away roughly and ran back to the room, unable to face her unhappiness of loosing what she just developed with Drake. 

In the corner of the Pokemon Center, a dark demon-like figure grinned evilly, and pet her Houndoom. Like any perfect hunter, she was very patient, waiting for the right moment to strike...

Hana and Kitty were in their room together, each of them getting shorter and shorter by the minute. Hana was almost 3 feet tall now. Kitty was still fairing well, hanging in around 3 feet and a half. Hana's purple hair was longer now, almost covering her whole body. Her Umbreon ears were starting to come back. Kitty ran and dug into one of the bags laying around and pulled out a hat. Kitty put the hat on Hana's head smiling. "Here wear this hat, it will cover your ears."

"What about your fangs?" Hana pointed to one rather long tooth that was very pointy.

"Don't worry! I'm sure no one will notice!" Kitty said smiling, which revealed another sharp fang.

"Kid, this won't work." Hana said, ready to take off the hat, when the door knob started to turn. Kitty dashed away to the other side of the room, pretending to take a nap by dropping to the floor. "Then again, maybe it will help at least." Hana said, as she continued to shrink more and more. For some reason, Kitty was staying just how she was. No ears were forming out of her. Hana jumped up as she felt something touching her rear... Only to see it was her tail. Kitty was lacking her Skitty tail as well.

The door knob suddenly stopped turning. Hana whispered to Kitty: "You know, kid, I actually liked being a human. I wonder if we can be humans again one day."

"I totally second that big sis. But you know what? Even when we're back to being our true selves, we'll always be sisters and we'll always be Hana and Kitty. I bet that's part of our identity now." Kitty whispered back. Her voice sounded almost like her old Skitty self.

The door knob turned again, and Hana quickly picked up a magazine, but it was hard to hold. Her black gloved hands were suddenly paws. Then the door opened, and Drake walked in, looking sad. He turned to Hana, not really seeing her changes yet.

"Nurse Joy looked at Umbreon and Kitty. She says they are healthy, and tests show nothing. I don't know what's wrong with them." he said. Then he gasped. His dark eyes flared. "Hana!? What's happening to you?"

"I guess it's time to let the Skitty out of the bag. No offense, Kitty." Hana said, sadly. She put the magazine down and stood up. She was already Umbreon height. "Drake, me and Kitty are really the souls of Umbreon and Skitty. We basically are your Umbreon and Skitty."

Drake dropped his backpack, his dark red eyes flaring, then turning cloudy, as if he were going to cry. "Drake I'm so so so sorry. I hope this doesn't change anything..."

Drake turned away. Kitty sat up from the floor. "Don't worry Drake! I bet there's a way we can go back and forth from Pokemon to human! No worries!" Kitty hugged Drake, who was in shock. Suddenly, Kitty sniffed the air. "Hey, my super special nose powers are back! I can smell the candy in your back pocket, Drake." she grabbed the small candy bar and began to eat it.

"When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me?" Drake asked, gently pushing Kitty away from him. Kitty was too happy to eat the candy bar to notice.

"It happened shortly after we met Heather. She turned us into humans with the help of a Mismagius. We were afraid to tell you, unsure of how you'd treat us." Hana said. Her eyes turned more gold, her face more fox like.

Drake walked up to Hana and took her hat off and gasped when he saw her ears. They were still stubs, but they were there, none the less. He held her face and locked eyes with her for just a moment, then he kissed her. He could feel as they kissed the transformation, the fur growing on her face, her body shrinking mili-inches per second. 

"Hana, I love you, no matter what happens. Even as Umbreon you'll always be Hana." Drake whispered. He was no longer in shock, or upset. He was ready to accept this fate.

After they pulled away, the transformation was almost complete. Soon, her body was too small for her clothes. Then it was over. Hana was now her original Umbreon self.

They turned to Kitty, who still looked like Kitty more than Skitty. There was chocolate smeared all over her face. Suddenly, there was a puff of smoke around her body, and in a flash of light, she was a Skitty. No slow and steady transformation for her.

"Nyah! Hey I'm a Skitty again! And It feels good, nyah~" Kitty said. Suddenly she covered her chocolate covered mouth. "I just spoke as if I were still Kitty!"

"You did say Kitty and Hana were part of our identities." Hana said. She didn't seem so surprised, now that she had heard Kitty speak human.

"So, you guys are still partly Hana and Kittty, huh? That only makes traveling with you guys more interesting." Drake said, picking up and holding Kitty. He sat down on the sofa with her in his arms. Hana jumped up next to him, and placed her head on his lap. He rubbed her face. Now, for sure, they were a family. The family none of them ever truly had.
