Episode 4: Magick

Heather paced around her room in the Pokemon Center. It was the most luxurious room she and her sister could find in Straition City. As the seventh of the Romania family, she was the least known, but known well enough to be treated like royalty. She held a mirror by her face. She stopped, and fixed her wrinkled black dress and adjusted the beads. As she stared into the mirror, she did not notice Umbreon and Skitty going past the door, which was opened a bit. Heather whispered into the mirror, and suddenly, her reflection swirled, and a black cloudy image filled the convex mirror.

"Master, tell me what I must do." she whispered.

"........................................" the image continued to swirl, but Heather seemed to understand the silent language.

"As you wish." she said emotionlessly. The image swirled, and took the form of a Pokeball. Heather reached in, without any hesitation and grabbed it, and pulled it from the mirror. She opened the ball, and a Mismagius appeared.

".............................." the swirling shadowy image continued swirling, more slowly at times and then more rapidly, as Heather nodded.

"I shall. Mismagius and I will not fail you, Master." Heather watched as her reflection appeared again, and she put her mirror away. She changed out of her dress. As her dress slid to the floor, she walked to the full length mirror, and checked over her bony body. Serving her Master for 14 years was beginning to put a strain on her young body, which was not able to handle the stress. Her breasts were skimpy, unlike her sister's. Her fingers, which touched the reflection in the mirror were long, and bony, and claw like nails tapped the mirror.

"I truly look like a demon." she whispered. "Or a hag."

Heather stopped investigating herself, and turned to her closet. She pulled out a t-shirt, which covered her breasts, and most of her stomach. Her long black hair was let down, and it fell down to her elbows. She pulled white pants over her gray panties, and tied around a different set or red beads around them. She tossed the red flower from her hair, and wiped off the lipstick from her lips. She no longer needed beauty.

Heather nodded at Mismagius, who turned invisible, in the way that only Ghost Pokemon could. Heather walked into her closet, and brought out loads of candy. She placed it near the doorway, and then she stepped into the shadows.

Heather stood, watching, and waiting, in a way of a perfect huntress. She could wait forever, if she had to.

Skitty was walking around the Pokemon Center, exploring. At the same time, she unwillingly acknowledged, she was trying to distance from Umbreon. For some reason, the beautiful Shiny Umbreon did not like Skitty. Skitty couldn't figure it out. But for some reason, she could sense Umbreon following her.

Umbreon WAS following Skitty, if just to keep her from getting into trouble. She was aware that Skitty knew she was being watched. She growled lowly.  At least she hasn't called out to me; she's learned to leave me alone finally. Although, it was nice of her to defend me before.

Suddenly, Skitty smelt something. Plastic wrappers. Chocolate melting behind the wrappers. Hard, sweet lollipops. Carmel balls, Skittles, M&Ms, 3 Musketeers, and most importantly of all: Wonka Bars. Simply put, Skitty found a treasure trove of candy.

Skitty took off in a frenzy, for she simply had to have that candy. Umbreon growled.

"UMBRE!" KID!!!

"Nyah!" I found something amazing!!

"Umbreon! Umbre!" Kid, stop right now!

Then, Skitty stopped short in front of a door. Umbreon didn't see that coming, and tripped over her. Umbreon growled loudly, raising her hackles.

"Umbreon... umbre...." You are in so much trouble, you brat.

"Nyyyyah." Ssssshhhh! You'll scare it away!

"Umbre?" Scare what away?

But Skitty did not answer. She looked around. She knew how this worked. Mean humans tried this on her before. It was either a trap, or if she dove for it, it would move away. If she followed, it would keep going, so she had to give up. Not this time. This was going to be hers! She carefully stepped forward. The candy pile did not move. She took a few more steps. Nothing happened. Skitty beamed. It was safe. If it was a trap, she would have been ambushed by now.

Umbreon watched, and stared, jaw dropped. Skitty was amazing, carefully treading. She was making sure it was safe. Yet, something about this was strange and driving Umbreon insane. Why was all this candy there? It was not the human holiday of Halloween. It was not Easter, where the Easter Buneary left candy. No, this was wrong. This candy was waiting for them.

Skitty dove into the pile, and began to tear at the wrappers. Umbreon walked in and watched Skitty eat candy for the first time.

Needless to say, Umbreon hoped it would be the last time she saw Skitty eat candy.

But just then, the door shut by itself. The windows locked. And a cold, icy voice that was familiar to both Pokemon spoke.

"Welcome to my lair, Shapeshifters. You have been looked with favor from my Master." Heather stepped out from the shadows, grinning evilly. Her face was more pale than before in the dark. Skitty jumped out of the candy pile and snuggled next to Umbreon, scared of the evil girl. "Oh no, Skitty, go ahead and finish that. I'd never eat candy. Its far to sweet. Of course, if you simply ask my Master, he could probably give you all the candy you could ever eat in a lifetime. But, you're smart, right? You won't take that type of offer."

Skitty and Umbreon were speechless. What was a Shapeshifter? Who was her Master? Too many questions. Umbreon, for the first time in her life, felt terrified.

"Mismagius, you know what you have to do..."

A Mismagius appeared from the shadows, and blasted both of them with magick. Umbreon could feel the vibrations in the air around her change. Then, she blacked out, the last thing she remembered was Heather's evil laughter.

"Wake up! Wake up!" a squeaky voice said.

Umbreon woke up, and saw a small, pink haired girl. She had dark eyes, but was cute. She wore a green sweater and a bright red skirt. On her arms were bracelets, and on her neck was a heart shaped necklace. She had stockings with hearts on them, and Mary Jane shoes.

"Who are you?" Umbreon asked.

"Last time I checked, I was a Skitty. Are you Umbreon?"

"I am an Umbreon.... wait, are you saying your, Drake's Skitty?!?!"

"Yes, I am."

"But, your a little girl."

"And you, Missy, are also a human girl."

Umbreon sat up, and held her paws out in front of her. The black fur was gone, as was her blue rings. She had pale, smooth skin. She felt her head, and discovered she had long, purple hair. She was wearing a bulky hoodie which was black, and the cuffs, center, and pockets were shiny neon blue. She wore pants, and combat boots, almost a Doc Martin style.

"Tell me I'm dreaming, Kid."

"Nope, you're not Umbreon. I'm not Skitty. We're humans."

Umbreon shook her head. "Well, then we have to rename ourselves. I'll call myself Hana."

"I'm Kitty, cause I am one!" Kitty said, beaming.

"Fine, Kitty. But one thing."

"Yes?"

"How are we ever going to tell Drake who we really are?" Hana asked.

Kitty took on a blank look. Then she shrugged and skipped away, towards the room where they were staying with Drake.

Forgetting about Heather, Hana ran after Kitty, and took her hand. "Wait, kid. Aren't you concerned at all?"

"No, why should I be, Hana? Actually, I like that name on you. It suits you."

Just then, Drake walked up. He saw them from a distance, but couldn't hear them. He saw the little girl skipping towards the room, only to be stopped by the taller one. The little girl was cute, for a 9 year old.

The taller girl, bluntly put, was sexy. Drake felt himself starting to be turned on by her. Her long purple hair was the perfect length, her shiny olive green eyes twinkled in the light. Even though the hoodie was bulky, he could see her breasts, which were very large.

"Can I help you?" He asked, trying to cover his nervousness to the tall girl.

"Um, yes, we're kind.... Of......"

"We're lost!" Kitty said. "I'm Kitty, and this is my older sister Hana! Please don't mind her; she's always tongue tied."

Hana tried to mask her fury. How was Drake going to buy this?! But strangely, he did. Kitty had the proper cover.

"Oh. Well, please, come in, Hana and Kitty. Let me help you." Drake said, and stared intently at Hana, drinking in her image. "I'll do what I can for you."

Hana felt her heart melt in the soft words. It was a pity she didn't know what the feeling truly felt like.
