Episode 3: Meet Violet and Heather

A day or two after Skitty's capture, Umbreon was still refusing to talk to him, or associate with him. She would not tolerate it. If he wanted to go crazy over the baby, then fine.

Umbreon wasn't jealous because of lack of attention. She was upset because of the capture. Drake could tell this was going to be a burden, and get in the way of their adventure and training. She was in shell shock because he gave the burden to himself, and didn't seem to care that much.

Skitty was happy-go-lucky, and tried to be friendly to Umbreon many times, but Umbreon's dark personality began to clash with it. Umbreon did not want to be bothered.

"Nyah!" Hi!!!!

"Umbre..... umbreon?" Is it already time for you to ruin my day?

"Nyah nyah nya nyah nya nyah!" You're looking kinda bony lately, Missy. You should eat lots of candy!

"Umbre.....on." Um, yeah. No!

Drake walked up to the two Pokemon. He knew Umbreon was upset with him, but he didn't pay any attention to that. "Tomorrow, we will explore the Dreamyard again, and see what inspiration is there." he said. He placed food out for them. It was normal Pokemon food. He made a special blend for Umbreon of all her favorite flavors. She sniffed at it, but the beautiful Shiny Umbreon turned away from it. Skitty, meantime, sniffed the normal food. She poked it with her tail, and hardly nibbled at a piece. She then smiled and began to eat. It had been a long time since she had normal Pokemon food. It wasn't candy, but eh, anything will just about do. As long as it wasn't vegetables. Oooh, how she hated vegetables!

As Skitty ate, Umbreon watched. Skitty ate incredibly fast, practically inhaling the food. Umbreon winced a bit. If a Pokemon was to eat, they should at least stop to appreciate the flavor. She suddenly felt her stomach rumble, demanding a bite of food. She gave in, knowing there was no point in starving to death, and ate the food.

As they ate, Drake went away for a bit. Umbreon saw that; it wasn't unusual for him to wander away and leave Umbreon to herself. Except this time, she had to baby sit the most annoying child in the world.

Then, they caught her golden, wizened eyes.

One girl had long, dark violet hair. Her eyes were glittering green, and she wore a somewhat revealing outfit, which was cadet blue. She wore tight black pants, and high heel shoes. She wore Elesa (a Gym Leader of Unova) headphones, which trailed down towards the floor. She eyed the Pokemon with interest, and she smirked.

The other girl was different. She was deathly pale, she was practically transparent. She had elegant black hair, and deep black eyes. She wore a long, black dress, which had red beads along the waist. She had a blood red flower in her hair. She did not smile; she had hardly any expression at all. However, she was the first one to speak, while directly looking at the two Pokemon.

"Violet. Tell me, are these the ones?"

Violet, the revealing one, eyed them over. "Hard to tell. They look kinda weak to me."

"You are right. Never mind. I have no time to waste on weaklings."

Umbreon growled, and ran in front of the pale girl. Skitty looked up as she finished, and ran besides Umbreon. Umbreon almost didn't notice, but was somewhat approving of the support.

"Umbre! Umbreon!" And who are you to judge, O Pale One?

"Oh, I can judge whatever I like, Shiny Umbreon. I am Heather, and you will get to know me very well." Heather walked around Umbreon, who was in shock.

Violet was more polite. "Sorry, little ones. My sister is always testy, and has big dreams. You wouldn't think we're twins, but we are."

"Nyah..." She's kinda scary.

"I agree, she can be very dark and scary." Violet nodded.

'Nyah!?" How do you both understand us?

"We were born around Pokemon. Its easy to understand after a while. By the way, you are tame. At least, you are, Umbreon. You give off that aura."

"Umbre..." Um... I suppose.

"I'd love to meet your trainer. I love rough battling! And I'm sure my Venipede and Buizel wanna battle you two!" Violet was getting excited. Umbreon noted that when she got excited, she gave off a radiating energy, one similar to the moon, which helped Umbreon to evolve.

"Nyah..." I never battled before.

Violet blinked, and realized for the first time, that the Skitty was nothing more then a baby. A thought popped up into her brain. She tried to shake it, she wanted to protect them. There was a reason why Violet only battled strong people, but in no way could she afford to hurt these two Pokemon badly. They would need their strength, for what was yet to come.

"That's okay. I'm sure Venipede and Buizel can wait for you two to grow stronger. They are very strong, after all."

Suddenly, Drake wandered towards them. Skitty ran towards him and lept into his arms, which pleasantly surprised him. Umbreon walked over to him.

"Are you their trainer?" Violet asked.

"Yeah, who are you?" Drake snapped.

"I'm Violet. Your Umbreon is impressive. It makes me want to battle you, but, uh, for time reasons, I cannot."

Drake blinked, and rolled his eyes. "If you don't want to battle me, or have any other business with me, then just leave. I have no patience for people who waste time."

Violet now blinked, and turned away in rage. Umbreon could almost feel the rage vibrating in the air.

"Fine! You'll learn to regret insulting me, Violet, the sixth of the Romania family line!"

Drake stared at her as she walked away. But he did not feel awe. He felt shame.

For the first time in his whole life, Drake felt ashamed of his cold attitude.
